2. Atticus Coffee & Gifts

The Atticus Coffee and Gift Shop is a cozy, brick-walled affair. It sells locally-produced roasts and delicious loose-leaf teas. It’s quaint and welcoming.

You can customize your coffee with extra shots, plant-based milk and syrups. They sell cold beverages, cookies, pastries, sandwiches, bagels, and knickknacks.

They have a huge Facebook following and have received a 4-and-a-half-star rating across multiple platforms, such as Tripadvisor and Yelp.

3. Kitty Cantina: Spokane’s Cat Cafe

Kitty Cantina is Spokane’s very own cat café. And for those who don’t already know, a cat café is part cat sanctuary, part café.

Ladder Coffee has been around for over five years now and is still just as welcoming, like a living room for the city. It started as a small specialty coffee drive-thru, but boy have they grown since, sporting four different locations.

They house coffees from around the world, but they’re all roasted locally in Washington. And if you enjoy the coffee there, you can even subscribe to have it delivered directly to your door.

Madeleine’s may have started as a small, family-owned catering business, but now it’s a downtown Spokane icon.

They serve excellent gourmet meals, emphasizing French foods, from savory Croque Madame sandwiches to their fantastic range of French and European pastries. Even the decor is French!
